And that was that. In a blink of an eye our harvest is complete. A massive thank you to all our customers, supporters and team members for ensuring that despite all the odds this year really was not only a successful, but pinnacle year. Our aim, way back in April was to merely 'get through' this truly exceptional time. We are relieved to have 'made it through', together and in the main, with smiles on our faces. Like many our focus now turns to 2021 and we are already working on many different ideas as well as a new business stream to add to the farm. We look forward to releasing more information on this in the new year. In the meantime, all there is to say is wishing you all a peaceful, restful and hopefully a more calm and settled new year.
13/12/20 **SOLD OUT FOR 2020**
We are delighted to say we have sold out for Christmas 2020. A huge, heartfelt thank you to all our customers, old and new. We are looking forward to meeting you at collection time in the Sussex barn, down on the farm!
We have and continue to be blown away by the support that we are receiving by the purchasing of our family reared turkeys this year. It really won't be long before we are closing our order books for 2020.
We are anticipating collection days to be busy, you may have a little wait but we are preparing the collection barn to be festive and if wet, don't worry you will be under cover. Please do wrap up warm, wellies or sturdy footwear advisable, we are a farm after all! We are looking forward to meeting you and to be part of your Christmas tradition.
A huge 'thank you' to all customers who have already placed their order for Christmas 2020. It really does mean a lot and we are looking forward to delivering and being part of your Christmas. No matter what size of Christmas gathering we have something to fit your table. We took our first 'make mine a half' order this week. Take a look at our shop and as always if you have any questions, do not hesitate to make contact.
The familiar 'Christmas' buzz has started on the farm. Despite still being 2 months away from the actual big day, many plans are being put into place so you can enjoy your traditional Christmas with a J&R Sheffield centre piece at your table. Whilst we may not be able to control numbers allowed at your festivities, we can control the quality and taste of the meat, we are determined that should you choose one of our birds that this will only add to your Christmas celebrations.
2020 is a year which no one could have anticipated or imagined. Life on the farm continued in earnest and the flock are now well established, enjoying the late Summer rays, foraging in the undergrowth and enjoying the start of pumpkin season.
As a family we are starting to put in place measures which will ensure that our customers, when collecting their Christmas centre piece not only experience a safe and 'Covid Secure' environment but also the familiar festive feeling whilst collecting your Turkey which has been reared to full maturity by our family to be enjoyed by yours, no matter how big or small.
We are anticipating the collection barn to be fully open and dressed ready to welcome familiar yearly customers as well as new ones. We are already excited. Under current guidelines we will be using a one way customer collection system, asking for face masks to be worn and hand sanitisers will be readily available. Social distancing will be adhered to.
Whilst these are all new procedures which are new to us, what you can rely upon when you make your visit is that familiar feel of Christmas starting, time to rest, reflect and take time with loved ones, treasuring memories and ending 2020 with a celebration.
